How to tell my parents i am getting married?
Follow your heart…If he is the one, be with him. Tell both of your parents of your plans. It’s hard to please everyone (yes, that includes parents also), but remember that it’s YOUR life. And because it is your life, you have to make adult decisions that you have to live by and live with. Marriage has it’s ups and downs (specially in the beginning), but you have to hang in there. With him in the military, you have to be 10x as strong because of long deployments, etc, but you will make it as long as you stick together. Your parents (dad) may not like the idea of you being so far away but if you have supportive parents, they will stand by you and help you with the transition. Tell dad that you can always call him. Mom just sounds like she’s hard to please. It sounds like what you do will always be wrong. Sorry to hear that, but there are people like that. We can’t chage them. They have to change themselves.
