How to take off acrylic nails at home?
You can buy pure acetone at pretty much any beauty supply store, Walmart, Target, and even at places like Home Depot, Lowes, or at your local hardware store. Pure acetone is the same no matter where you buy it. It is still the same thing no matter if it is labeled for use on nails or anything else. As long as it is pure, 100% acetone, you are good to go. Nail polish remover with acetone will work, but it will take a lot longer. Either way, expect at least a half four of soaking before it begins to come off – not 10 minutes. Be patient. It will eventually soften at which point yo can use an orange stick to remove the softened acrylic. If there is some that remains on your nails, simply soak them for another 5-10 minutes and it should come off then. Be sure to do one hand at a time since the acrylic will harden quickly when your remove your nails from the acetone.
