My friend, agave are not cacti. You must have a cactus for your plant. Or if it looks like an agave plant then it is a small agave. Anyway under restricted condition as in your case, these plants may take time to grow like your dad’s agave in Hungary. Have patience. Plants take a lifetime to grow.
