How to switch chords faster on acoustic guitar?
Here are some tips to help with your switching: 1. Make sure you are able to fret each individual chord properly before worrying about switching. If you aren’t able to get a clean sounding chord and play each chord smoothly, you may not be ready to switch between them. You also should be able to quickly fret each individual chord. 2. Start off by practicing with several beats of rest in between each chord. This will give you time to think about the next chord and get in position for it. Gradually reduce the amount of rest until there is none. 3. Position your fingers in the shape of the next chord while they are in the air during the switch. 4. Visualize the next chord before playing it. 5. Look for notes in common between the chords. You can often keep your fingers on these notes when moving from one chord to another.
