How to stop the trees from being cut near & around freeway entrances?
It is better planning by your road crews and transportation commission and city. Freeways and roadways can be built around healthy vegistation in many cases. Sometimes it is more costly so they avoid it and cut the trees instead. But do keep in mind, many trees near freeways and roads die anyway from the stress of emissions, road salt in winter, noise factor, lack of water, and more. In my area you can really see the damages. Many of the trees near the roads are brown and dying and the healthy trees are yards away. What we need to do is make the City plant two trees for every one they cut and remove or kill. It is not better than keeping the older trees but it is one step in the right direction.
