This happens with synthetic carpets (or mixed fibres) in warm dry environment. The best solution I know of is to take a plant spray bottle and add a small amount of fabric conditioner topped up with cold water. Spray a mist of this over the carpets when required. It is a bit like when tumble drying clothes they can become very charged with static but if you put a dryer sheet in with the load they don’t. The dryer sheet contains fabric conditioner!
