How To Stop Outlook Searching For Pop Server When Sending Emails?

0

I have Outlook 2003 and XP and no problems with internet access or with receiving emails. The connection settings are correct according to ISP Orange and also Cisco whose router gives me broadband access. The issue is that when I send an email, it fails and there is an error message saying that ‘access to the pop.orangehome.co.uk server is interrupted’. This is odd as the outgoing server is listed as smtp.orangehome.co.uk. Help please!
