How to start with Refraction of light rays software ?
• Open Genius Maker software and click “Refraction of rays” button. It opens the Refraction of light rays window as shown above. • On opening you will see that 2 mediums, namely, air and water are selected by default. • As you move the mouse a torch moves along with your mouse always pointing its beam to the centre of the graphics area. You may notice that the direction of the ray changes, whenever the ray moves from one medium to another. The current angle of incident ray, refracted ray and reflected ray are displayed for every position the torch moves. • You may also see, how a total internal reflection takes place just by moving the mouse to areas where its incident angle is greater than the critical angle. • Just click at any place in the graphics area to anchor the torch at that place.
