You should put the key in the ignition, turn it to on and check that all the bulbs are working, then put the clutch in and the transmission in neutral and turn the key to start until it cranks over and the engine is running. If you don’t have a clutch you have a crap car and if you don’t have a key you need to get a new one from the manufacturer after you have proven that you own the car.
