How to start a discount bread store?
I live in California and I have thought about opening a discounted bread outlet. I thought that it would benefit our town in that we live in an area where people retire and try to save money. We also don’t like to waste food. Buying discount for day old bread is something that would be well received. However, I found that the only “day old bakery” is owned by IBC bakery outlet (interstate bakery outlet). They are a cooperation and do not franchise. It is an awesome establishment and I really wish they did offer franchise. We could use a few more in our area. You can email them to see if they would open a store in your aunts area and then she could manage it, possibly. Other wise, it is starting from scratch in finding hostess and sara lee to deliver to her store. It is a bit difficult dealing with large companies though and I wish you all the success in the world. Anything and everything is possible. Google their name and call them.
