How to Speed Up Scans By Searching Fewer Folders?

You can perform a tweak whereby Spy Sweeper only scans folders that commonly get hit by spyware attacks. Though this may find the majority of infections on a machine, it won’t find them all; however, if time is of the essence, you may want to consider this change, if only temporarily. 1. Double-click the Spy Sweeper icon in your Windows taskbar. If it is not present, you can click “Spy Sweeper” in your “Programs” or “All Programs” menu. 2. Click the “Options” button on the left. 3. Click the “Sweep Options” button on top. 4. Underneath “Where to Sweep”, click the “Sweep Only Known Spyware Folders” radio button. Even if you make this change, you should still periodically perform a scan through all folders on your system.
