You can blow in the hose and listen for bubbles if you’re unsure. Let the extra hose loop to the ground and back up above the level of gas in your tank. Suck until you see the gas flow out to where it’s about even with the gas in the tank and lower the hose into a gas can, it should start flowing out then. Lift back up and pull the hose out when you’re done.
