How to share files with my SO SPEAKY PVR under XP/VISTA?
Before sharing folders make sure it contains multimedia files only, and not system files. In order to avoid consequences of any malware that can come suddenly through the network. In first, go to the configuration panel and then networking and sharing. Select ‘private network’. Click on ‘next’ and then on ‘close’ In ‘sharing and discovery’ activate all options except password protection if you don’t want this function. To set the sharing make a right click on the folder and then click on ‘share’ Click on advanced share. Tick ‘share this folder’ Click on ‘authorization’, and then select ‘total control’ for everybody. Click on ‘apply’ and then wait a few times (time for validation of parameters). Click twice on OK to close the both opened dialog boxes. Your folder is shared.
