By using the same setting, but with specified keyword selections for each budget account, you can create a running balance budget for your financial accounts like Cash, Checking, Credit Card, etc. For your Cash Account, you can select “Cash” in your Paid By field on the Custom Budget set up, and for your Checking Account, you can select “Checking” in your Paid By field. This will then allow ONLY transactions with Paid By: Cash to apply to the Cash Account, and ONLY transactions with Paid By: Checking to the Checking Account.
