How to set up a fishing line?
depends on what you are fishing for and where. if you are in a lake fishing, take the end of your line and fold it so that you have a loop, long enough for you to wrap it around two fingers twice, then tuck it under the loops you made around your finger and pull it tight, cut off the excess. That is the easiest knot, then attach a hook. your wieght should go about 2-3 feet above the hook. If you are river or ocean fishing, tie the same loop knot, but use a 24-32 inch leader, and get a slider to go above the swivel loop on the leader. Put 2-5 ounces on there, depending on how fast the water is. For lakes, you only need about 1/2 ouce, just enough to get to the bottom.
