How to set the desktop background on my Windows 7 Acer Aspire One?
Depends on the version of Windows 7. In most versions you can right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize.” Personalization is also available via the control panel. If it’s running Windows 7 Starter, however, you can’t change the desktop background. And that is the version of the OS that comes with most Windows 7 netbooks. You’d have to “Anytime Upgrade” to something like Home Premium to get that feature. Windows 7 Starter is pretty barebones to keep the price down on the netbooks. Some are fine with that. Some are more than willing to pay the extra $50 or whatever it is to move up the level of OS.
