How to separate this mixtures of calcium carbonate,wood chips and potassium nitrate?
Add the mixture to water in a beaker and stir. You can now separate all 3 components: Wood chips will be floating on the surface Calcium carbonate will sink to the bottom Potassium nitrate will dissolve in the water Now, remove the wood chips with a sieve, filter the resulting mixture to get the calcium carbonate and evaporate the filtrate to get the potassium nitrate.
