How to select a plasma or flat screen LCD?
Plasma vs LCD is almost undetectable when going with such a small format. You would not notice a difference until you got up around 50 inch. Your would also not see much difference between 720i and 720p. Until you got into the bigger screen sizes. Interlaced vs. Progressive would only be applicable on systems that were large. Plasma screens are however made of glass and therefore highly reflective and subject to viewing problems if placed in a room with lots of windows because of the reflected light off the screen. LCD’s on the other hand have a matte finish on the screen that will cancel out most reflected light so in terms of daylight viewing would be the better choice. Both plasma and LCD are excellent in picture quality and digital imagery. As for HDMI cables, these cables are well shielded and therefore tend to cancel out a lot of errant RF interference’s. They will also allow better signal translation between systems, reducing crosstalk interference and allowing a cleaner signal.
