Defrag takes your files and rearranges them in an orderly manner and it also looks for bad files and bad sectors. Depending how often you use your computer you should run these checks on a monthly basis. This will help keep your computer stable, fast and efficient. To start open you “My Computer” folder, once there using your mouse right click on C Drive, Select properties, you will see tabs at the top, select tools, Then select Error-Checking, this is the first option at the top, will start scandisk.
