How to replace the plastic rear window in a ragtop?
Hi. I’ve done this but it is not easy. What I did was to remove the inner cover of the brackets holding the canvas roof in place. Then undid all the bolts and loosened the roof catches. Then got a box cutter knife and carefully cut the stitching between the front and rear sections of the canvas roof and pulled the back section off witht he plastic panel. I took it to an upholsterer who stitched in Marine grade clear plastic and put it all back together. I am a qualified auto engineer, but took my time. Overall around 6 hours.
