An easy way is to use a dent puller. There is a pin holding the ignition switch in the column. A quick pull should snap it and the old switch comes out.

Here it is. You will need to remove the steering wheel. Follow the directions after that. If you have a tilt and it’s loose, follow it to the end and fix it while you’re in there. Good luck.

If you use a harmonic balancer remover it’ll work. But there is a steering wheel remover tool. You also have to remove a round clip after you pull the steering wheel and this clip has a spring behind it so you’ll have to push down on it pretty hard. Or get the tool that helps with that. After you remove that you’ll have to remove the hazard light switch and the 3 screws holding the blinker assembly down. Once you’ve done that pull gently up on the blinker assembly until you can see the one torx screw that holds the ignition switch in, remove it and pull the switch out. Then put it all back together.
