How to repair self propelled Rover lawn mower?

Hi, We purchased a second hand rover self propelled lawn mower just today with model no 6012 and serial number 3711308. It mowed half a lawn and then died. When I tried to restart the cord wouldn’t pull and I think the shaft attached to blades may have dropped thus not allowing the blades to rurn correctly. Not sure where to go from here not looking like we can start or return, please help!
