How to remove vw golf mk4 door handles?
To remove the handle Front Golf mk4 1) open the front door, Then remove the plastic cap in the rear edge of the door nr the lock. 2) pull the handle out, hold it in this position whilst undoing the torx retaining screw that is in the hole the plastic cap was removed from. Undo the torx screw until it comes to its stop. DO NOT REMOVE the screw too far or the locking ring may fall into the door. 3) Pull the Locking Cylinder out of the door handle, and release the handle to the Original position. On early models the housing may be corroded making it difficult to remove. (if you drop the locking ring into the door, it will then be necessary to remove the door inner trim and regulator to gain access to recover the ring. 4) To remove the handle, working in the lockinaperturere, disconnect the lock release cable from the handle then manoevre the handle out of the door.
