How to remove the “A” filter cartridge from the AQ-4000?
AQ-4000 home water filter uses two filter cartridges. One is the A filter the other is the B filter.The seal on the A cartridge is designed to create a strong seal. Which insures untreated water will not bypass the filter. This makes removing the filter cartridge difficult. There is not enough room in the filter housing to get a good hold on the filter. The bottom of the filter has small fins which you can get a hold of with a pair of pliers. Give the filter a turn and pull makes it comes out easier. I have good luck getting them out that way.The B filter cartridge is easy to remove from the filter cap. More information on how to replace filter cartridges on the AQ-4000.
