How to Remove Rogue Anti-Spyware – XP Deluxe Protector?

XP Deluxe Protector is another Rogue Anti-Spyware program – a fake spyware remover. After infecting a user’s system, it proceeds to scare its victim into buying the “product” by displaying fake security messages, stating that your computer is infected with spyware and only XP Deluxe Protector can help you to remove it after you download the trial version. Once inside and active, XP Deluxe Protector proceeds to intimidate the user with fake registry scans, which produce bogus results and popups, which are annoying as hell and bear much the same message as the scans. It goes somewhere along the lines of “your computer is infected, buy XP Deluxe Protector” or “your registry appears to contain entries that are a potential threat to the system”. XP Deluxe Protector is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block it’s homepage using your Hosts file.
