How to remove eucalyptus oil from a painted wall?
I use a humidifier with eucalyptus oil in it. Water from the steam has left streak marks down the painted walls. I have tried products like sugar soap which have not helped at all. Any ideas on how to remove this (it’s been there for a while now). Thanks. A: Oh oh. Eucalyptus oil is an excellent cleaner and degreaser …. in a dab it on and wash it straight off sense. The streak marks are likely from the oil stripping the colour out of the paint rather than the oil leaving a residue. I’d use just a damp nylon scrubber and hope that maybe the colour evens out – as it’s a cleaner, the streaks are probably the cleanest parts of the wall. If it’s been there a while I’d say you’ll have to repaint to fix the problem.
