How to remove coocking oil stains on jeans trouser?

When I was working as a costumer in films, we always used baby powder (the talc kind NOT the corn starch) on oil marks. We’d powder it up, let it sit, then brush it off with a soft brush or a terry cloth towel. This probably won’t pull all the oil out of jeans but will take some out. We used the powder because we usually couldn’t launder costumes that had to be used in the next scene. Some costumes couldn’t be laundered anyway. I use baby powder on oil that gets on furniture that can’t be laundered and it works great. Dawn dish washing soap is great at breaking up grease. Put some on full strength, let it sit for an hour or more, then launder in warm water.
