The easiest way to remove wax from wood is by gently scraping with a plastic scraper or plastic knife. If that doesn’t remove it, you can also try putting an ice cube in a towel and rubbing it on the wax to freeze it and allow it to crack. Once frozen, it should easily scrape off.
