I use a Compaq Presario V6000 laptop and this afternoon my computer suddenly stopped working after I logged onto my Windows XP (probably b/c of spywares or viruses). Then I restarted my computer and pressed F11 at the opening screen to boot into the system recovery mode for Compaq. I ran a system recovery where the option indicated that my computer would be recovered to its original factory setting but none of my data filees would be lost. However, after this system recovery, all of the files from My Documents and Program Files were lost. I then tried a system restore, but there were no previous restore points. After that, I accessed Safe Mode Administrator account. I then accessed the Documents and Setting and saw my previous account name; however, when I clicked My Documents under my previous name, the system told me that it was unable to open the folder. All my programs before the recovery are still present on the start menu, but when I tried to run them, the system could not locate
