How to record a DVD on HDD?
In theory, it’s possible to record direclty a DVD playing it and pressing “REC” key on remote control. Unfortunately, for the moment, some jerks appear. Severals users don’t have any problems, so we have to understand why. Thanks to all people for searching, and mainly to Sharknoir, Outitec, Claude E., etc… let us continue! 1st solution: recording from DVD to PVR – To have sound: SETUP -> Audio -> Audio Out -> Analogic – To have color video: SETUP -> PVR Control -> Source Format -> Auto – But, jerks appear! You have to set the record quality to the maximum (XP) to have a faithful reproduction. Don’t forget you’ll get a large final file with MPEG2 for video and MP2 for audio (stereo). The Macrovision protection is not activated!
