How to read the EXPIRY DATE on a visa?
The EXPIRY DATE on your visa means: you must ENTER Canada before this date. The visa validity is determined by a visa officer. Single-entry visas are normally valid for three months, and multiple-entry visas may be valid for longer periods. Please make sure you clearly indicate your intended travel date on the application form. * Temporary Resident Visitor Visas cannot have an expiry date that exceeds the passport validity. If your passport will expire soon you may want to renew it before you apply for a Canadian visa.
