How to “re-point” Front Row to see home MOVIES folder?
I recently consolidated several backup drives of files onto one Western Digital 1Tb drive. As before, I just made an alias of the MOVIES and MUSIC folders that now reside on the new Western Digital backup drive (There’s not enough room for all my media files on my MBPro’s internal HD) and placed these alias in my Home folder. But now Front Row (ostensibly v1.3.1) won’t “see” the any files from the home folder’s MOVIE folder — it only picks up the 2 Quicktime movies buried in the iTunes Music folder (They are actually MacWorld podcasts but they show up in the MOVIES section of iTunes for some odd reason, but I’m less concerned about that). I read in many web pages on the subject of FR that it is supposed to pull media from Itunes AND your home MOVIES folder. I want Front Row to also include the movies that are aliased to the MOVIES folder on my external drive. This should be a fairly common thing and I used this exact alias setup successfully before for over 2 years) but I can’t get FR
