How to promote filipino-ness? :)?

How could we promote our filipino-ness when our Philippine Olympic teams don’t even have the proper gears/equipments and doesn’t have enough budget– when sent abroad. Again…, blame those corrupt politicians! (a fund raising so they can participate in the Olympics?….now that’s sad!

Ninoy and Cory, hands down, are the best examples of Filipino-ness. Others: Manny Pacquiao, Lea Salonga, Efren Bata Reyes. If you are thinking of objects: Furniture of Kenneth Cobunpue. Rattan, yantok.,capiz shells. Adobo, sinigang & paksiw, tinola, nata de coco, macapuno, ube, ube-macapuno ice cream, halo-halo, ginataan, turon & bananaque, bibingka, sumang latik,puto-bumbong, lengua de gato, cassava cake, fishballs tuhog. Manggang hilaw & green mango shake, dried mango.

We can do it through movies like the Koreans. By making nice movies which shows the positive sides of our country, people will soon be interested on us and they will somewhat change their prejudice on us as a country of domestic helpers and nurses( I don’t mean to annoy OFWs though I know that this sounds mean.) With regards to having animations, I don’t think that some rich people are into funding our animation industry. Damn! If I was a rich girl! Music is also great avenue in doing it. But as I notice it, our music industry is far different from our nearby countries such as Taiwan, Japan, and Korea which are all more into pop songs brought to them by boy bands, girl groups, and pop singers. I wosh that we could also somewhat do the same thing so we can also get their attention and interest. We can also promote it through our tourism ’cause as I can see it, we have lots of nice places to visit. It is nice to know that our tourism industry is now soaring.

If you have no product to promote, how about just being yourself, by showing pride in yourself. Gman below me was not looking for Filipino culture when he visited; he was looking for things he was used to. Sad, indeed.
