How to Prevent Tummy Tuck Swelling?
Tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is type of cosmetic surgery that helps to remove excess belly fat and reshape your abdomen. Postoperative swelling is a common complication that can occur in any surgery, and yet, it is a mild complication that can heal by itself after a period of time. Tummy tuck swelling doesn’t mean that the surgical procedure has failed, but it is perhaps the most common thing that happens after the surgery. For most of the patients, the swelling will reaches its highest level about 5 days after surgery, and then gradually diminishes after 10 to 12 weeks. Sometimes you feel the most severe swelling several days immediately after tummy tuck, because the place of those removed fat cells and body tissues are replaced temporarily by swelling tissues.
