How to Prevent Tooth Decay
Tooth decay is closely associated with high sugar diet. Some of the inhabitant bacteria in the mouth will digest the sugar and create acidic products causing decalcification eventually decay in the tooth. The more frequent the sugar intake, the longer it stays the easier the teeth will get decayed. To prevent its happening, low sugar diet, good oral hygiene such as immediate brushing or rinsing after sugar intake are very important. It is important to remember that sleeping with a bottle (juice or milk) in a child’s mouth is wrong. Of course It is equally important to remember to take to child to the dentist regularly for check up and cleaning so that any decay can be detected and treated early.
