How to preserve a dead bird?
The best thing to do is to keep it cool. If you plan on waiting more than three days, wrap the bird in saran wrap. Be careful not to bend any feathers. Make sure the bird is completely wrapped. Then place it in the freezer. If you only plan on having the bird a few days, wrap it in saran wrap and place it in the fridge. When you transport it, make sure you have it in a cooler and on ice. This will all prevent decay.
