How to play Beethovens 5th Symphony on a synthesizer?
Transcriptions of Beethoven symphonies for solo keyboard were fairly common in the 19thth-early 20th c, before recording really got going. I believe Liszt did one. Most are not in print now, but you might find a copy through your local library or interlibrary loan. If you’re playing a synth with less than 88 keys, you’ll have to adapt the extremities. This is the only way YOU will be able to PLAY Beethoven 5 (well, you could play it from the orchestra score, but if you’re good enough to do that, you wouldn’t be asking) as opposed to playing “themes from Beethoven 5”. But if you don’t mind “you” not doing it, importing a MIDI file (use a search engine to find one) really is your best bet as, if it’s properly done in separate channels, you can play it multitimbrally.
