How to plant tomatoes in containers?

You’ll need at least a two gallon container. Tomatoes aren’t that picky about soil, so you can buy soil or just fill your container with soil from your yard if you want. Tear off the main bottom leaves which are probably turning yellow anyway. Then plant your tomatoes deeper than they were when you bought the plants. Now all you have to do is put it in a sunny spot on you deck or in your yard, water it at least once a week, and treat it for pests and diseases with appropriate dusts found in garden centers. Just remember to stop using pesticides when blooms appear so you don’t harm your pollinating insects like honey bees.
