How to pay for a laptop for college?
You could try bluehippo.com they say they’ll sell to anyone even with bad credit. But I’m pretty sure they’re one of those rent-to-own places where you end up paying way more than the item is worth in the end. Other options, you could buy a refurbished desktop (this will be cheaper than a laptop), or a refurbished laptop which will cost a little more. You could try for financing at Best Buy or something (there’s no interest if you make payments on time at Best Buy) but bad credit might limit your ability to do that. However, if you can find someone to co-apply (significant other/parent/spouse) you might be able to do it that way. If you’re applying for federal student loans and you have some left over you could use that since a computer is considered a school expense. Good Luck!
