How to partition thinkpad x61?

Have you only tried using partition magic in normal mode (ie, putting the CD in and loading it in windows), because if this is the case, then the partition you’d be trying to modify would be in use. Try creating a boot disk, under one of the menus in partition magic (just load Partition magic, and use the help files) Then load it in boot mode and see if it works then If it was me Id format the drive and install the OS from scratch Hope this helps!
