I used this great painting guide when i had painted my faux wood beams, but the same method could be used on your faux wood panel since they are made of the same material. Remember to used a good water based paint/stain like the guide says!

Paneling can be painted but you need to follow some steps so that it doesn’t end up scratching/peeling off. Wash all the paneling with Painters Helper No Sand. Then get a primer with a thick consistency. Let dry at least 24 hours. Then paint with whatever color you want. You will need a brush and a roller. The brush in not only for cutting in but depending on how deep the groves are you will need to brush each “stripe” in the groove, then use roller to paint the rest. As for suggestions on what color to paint – I would have to see pictures of the angles etc. Maybe you could post them on Flickr.com?
