There are several different programs that allow for meshing of solid models depending on what kind of analysis you want to do. You can use the Mechanica add-in for Pro-Engineer to mesh the model for FEA analysis, but I’ve mostly seen this done for use in ANSYS and static load analysis (the first link is a link to this procedure). For dynamic analysis I’d probably go with LS-Dyna. Dyna allows you to insert an iges file and mesh directly in the pre-processor. The LTSC website is the second link below. Unfortunately I don’t know of any good, free softwares that allow this type of meshing/analysis. Both ANSYS and Dyna have their own little quirks that you’d have to learn and neither come cheap.
