How to mend my ideal standard push button toilet?

I took the lid of my ideal standard push button toilet and I hear a crack. The lid came off but I realised that I had broken the flushing mechanism. There is a piece of plastic holding the push mechanism in place and it was cracked into three pieces. Can I mend it or do I need a plumber or a new toilet, or part? I believe it is a studio ideal standard toilet, with a dual flush button and it only the one card like plastic part is broken. Please help!
