How to Make String Puppets?
And now presenting string puppet preparation techniques! Take a ruler or paint stick and drill a hole in the center (you could just use a nail and then remove it). Make two holes equally spaced away from the center hole about half way in between the center hole and the end of the stick. Make two more holes just slightly inward from the end of the stick for a total of five holes. Tie one short string in the middle, two longer strings in the next holes and finally two long strings in the end holes. Attach clothespins to the ends of all the strings. Take two pieces of feather boa (different colors add a nice affect) and secure together in the middle. Connect the secured area of the boas to the short middle string using the clothespin. Now, attach the four ends of the boas to the other clothespins. Finally, place a Styrofoam ball onto the middle clothes pin and decorate with a face to create a head.
