How to Make Samurai Armor?
To create samurai armor, you will need foam core poster board, string, rope, duct tape, spray paint, green fabric, and old long shirt, and a rectangle of leather about 20″x12″. The armor is broken up into several sections. Each section has lots of string and robe and then bound to the next section with more rope. Cut out the chest piece, then cut it into 7 slats. Drill holes to weave the string and rope through to attach each section to the other. Follow the same steps to create the sides and back of the armor. Next add shoulder straps with bent pieces of the poster board and paint it and weave rope through it to match the rest. Make the shoulder pieces in the same manner, then attach them to the main piece of armor using more rope. Make the skirt by cutting small, triangle pieces of poster board and hang them from the main armor to protect the sides, front groin area and back. Paint the pieces of leather and strap them to the forearms to complete the look.
