How to Make Homemade Caramel Sauce?
You can easily make homemade caramel sauce by combining 2 and 1/2 cups of brown sugar and 1 can of sweetened condensed milk in a stove pot over medium heat. Once the sugar has completely dissolved into the milk, melt 1 stick of fresh butter along with 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 3/4 of a cup of whole milk in another pot over medium heat. Cover the pot and allow the ingredients to simmer until they are completely combined. Stir the sugar mixture into the butter mixture and then let it sit for 3 to 5 minutes, then pour into a bowl and refrigerate until it is cool enough to serve.
