How to Make Evaporated Milk
It is easy and inexpensive to make evaporated milk, which is just milk with reduced water content. Just mix 2/3 of a cup of non-fat dry milk with 3/4 of a cup of water. This will produce 8 ounces of an evaporated milk substitute that can be used in baking or cooking. No need for an extra trip to the store or the pricey evaporated milk in a can.
