How to make cigar box purses?
For a simple cigar box purse, decoupage the entire inside and outside of the box with pretty paper. Apply several coats of a matte or gloss sealer after the decoupage glue has dried on the box. You can purchase a latch at Michael’s craftstore for the opening or use a simple ribbon closure. For the ribbon closure, punch holes in the top edge of the lid and the top edge of the bottom. Lace pretty ribbon through the holes to use as a closure. For handles, punch holes in what will be the top of the purse (actually the back of the box if it’s sitting in front of you). Attach store bought handles (again from Michael’s) or use a simple cord for the handle or shoulder strap.
