How to Make Chicken Empanadas?
To make chicken empanadas you will need seasone chicken breast cut into small pieces and you will need empanada disc made by a company called Goya, in which you can find in the freezer section of most grocery stores. You can add green olives and small seasoned potatoes if you choose. Once chicken is ready and the disc are thawed you will take a disc a roll it out to make it bigger. Add a few spoon fulls of chicken and any of the other ingredients if you like. Now fold the dough disc in half and pinch the ends to seal the pocket or “empanada” using your fingers or a fork. Now you can either use a small deep fryer or a deep pan filled with oil on the stove. Carefully drop the empanada in the oil and cook until it bubbles and turns golden brown. Remove and lay on paper towels. They are ready to eat once cooled down a little bit. Delicious! This is a very popular treat in the latin cultures.
