How to Make a May Basket?
EASY DIRECTIONS: A. With Wall Paper Samples – for cut flowers or made flowers • Go to a store which sells wallpaper and ask for any old sample books that you can have. Explain that it is for a school or community project and they are usually glad to share. • Have each student select a page from the sample book and remove it from the book • Place the page (print side down) on the desk with the points at the top, bottome and each side. • Take the Point from the right side and fold in 3/4 of the way to the left side. Tape in Place. • Now take the point from the left side and fold 3/4 oof the way to the right side. (this will probably mean the corner is now on the back) . Tape in Place. • Take the bottom corned and bring it up so it crosses the left and right side pieces and fold the corner in making a pouch or pocket in the sample. Tape in place. • You can Leave the top as it is or can also fold it down 1/4 of the way into the “basket” and tape in place. • Collect abundant flowers, or buy
